Each Gem Lifts the Ladder and Mine Risk
A round of Mines stays reversible until the first tile, and no longer: before one is opened the Cancel button returns the stake, after it the only exit is Cashout. Each gem then moves two numbers at once, the ladder step up and the Mine Risk counter with it, from 12.0% at three mines to 14.3% after four opens, so every next pick is taken at worse odds for a higher step. The round can also end with no decision at all, cashed out automatically when the last gem is found. What is stated before the bet is short: 98.00% return, a x10000 ceiling, Medium volatility. Everything else happens between the first tile and the last one.
How the game plays out
Twenty-five tiles hide gems and bombs, and one picking round governs them all. What differs across the three items below is who acts and when: the player pick by pick, a configured series repeating that setup, or the payout ceiling stepping in before either decides.
- Manual Round
- Risk is locked in before a single tile turns: the chosen mine count, from 2 to 24, sets the ladder above the board and the opening Mine Risk figure, and the stake stays refundable through CANCEL only until the first pick. After that each gem moves the ladder up one step, CASHOUT pays the current multiplier times the bet, and one bomb loses the stake and exposes all 25 tiles.
- Auto Bet
- Every decision a live round makes one at a time is moved up front here: tiles are marked on the board before anything runs, then the pattern repeats over a chosen number of bets, with presets of 10, 20, 50 and 100. Under Advanced, On Win and On Loss each take a stake rule (reset, or increase by a percentage), Stop on Profit and Stop on Loss cap the series, and Stop or the Space hotkey ends it sooner.
- Automatic cashout at the payout limit
- A round can end before anyone decides to leave. Two states settle it with no button involved: every gem found, or a next pick whose potential win would pass the payout limits. The ceiling is absolute, since the same Max Win prints at the minimum and the maximum bet, so ladder steps shown above x10000 stay unreachable; the game collects first.
How to play
A win in Mines equals the stake times the multiplier of the last gem opened. PoggiPlay's instant win game puts gems and a chosen number of mines under 25 covered tiles; each gem raises the payout and repeats one question: open another tile, or take the money before a mine takes the stake.
-
Set mines and stake
The mines row seeds the board with 2 to 24 bombs through the fixed buttons 3, 5, 10 and 20 or the minus and plus buttons; the bet row takes a stake from 50 to 100000 credits, with MIN and MAX jumping to each limit.
-
Press BET to start
BET deducts the stake from the balance and starts the round. Until the first tile is opened the action button reads CANCEL and the stake can still be withdrawn; the first gem turns it into CASHOUT with the live amount.
-
Open tiles to climb the ladder
Each click uncovers one tile. A gem lights the next step of the multiplier ladder, refreshes the Gems, Mine Risk and Opened counters and raises the sum offered by CASHOUT; a bomb ends the round, reveals all 25 tiles and forfeits the stake.
-
Take the win with CASHOUT
CASHOUT pays the stake times the current multiplier, rounded down to two decimals, and a panel prints the win and its multiplier. The round also settles on its own once every gem is found, or when the next pick would pass the payout limit.
Playing smart: bankroll and volatility
Every gem in Mines raises two numbers at once: the sum under CASHOUT and the printed chance that the next tile is a bomb. The remaining choices sit around that one: a stake measured against a fixed credit ceiling, an Auto Bet that commits the picks in advance, and a tile pick the risk formula does not distinguish.
Cashout timing: each gem worsens the next pick
Once the first gem lands, the choice repeats: take stake times the current multiplier, or open one more tile at a higher Mine Risk — 12.0% at the start of a 3-mine round, 14.3% after four gems. Each continuation stakes a larger banked sum on worse odds. Near the payout limit the game settles by itself, and no opened gem says where the mines remain.
Stake size meets a ceiling that does not scale
The bet row runs 50 to 100000 credits, yet Max Win prints 150000 at both extremes, and the round cashes out on its own when the next pick would pass the limit. At the top stake the 3-mine ladder ends after the third gem — x1.46 pays 146000 — and the x10000 multiplier would need a bet of 15. What a credit is worth in currency is not printed.
Auto Bet commits the picks before the series
AUTO is chosen instead of a manual round, and it moves the live decisions up front: which tiles, how many bets, how the stake reacts to a win or a loss, where the series stops. The run then plays with no per-pick judgment; a bomb among the marked tiles still ends that round, and Stop or Space ends the series. The build documents no setting that touches what lies under the tiles.
Which tile: a choice the numbers ignore
Mine Risk is mines divided by unopened tiles, a count rather than a map, so at any step every covered tile carries the same figure, and the board was seeded before the first pick. Preferring a corner over a neighbour changes nothing the game records; the R hotkey opens a random tile, and where the mines lie stays unknown until one turns over.

What we think
| Key advantages | Mine Risk restates the exact odds of the next tile after every pick, so each cash-out call is priced, not guessed. |
|---|---|
| Key advantages | RTP of 98.00% is stated in the rules themselves, giving a verified return figure before any bet is placed. |
| Downsides to consider | The 20-mine ladder prints x52.0k, yet the x10000 ceiling ends the round first; the top steps exist only on screen. |
Mines puts its arithmetic on the table: a stated 98.00% return and a risk percentage that moves with every opened tile, so the decision to leave is always an informed one. What it withholds is the far end of its own ladder, cut short by the x10000 ceiling. It suits a player who banks small, repeated multipliers, not one chasing the printed maximum.
